What we offer
Architecture, interiors, drafting, and styling, with project management and construction oversight when you need it.
Most studios do one thing well. We do all four, and because they're led by the same team, they work together. Design decisions inform construction budgets. Construction realities shape design choices. The result is a project that arrives at completion the way it was conceived.
Architectural Services
We provide detailed architectural drafting and design services for residential and commercial projects of all sizes. Our drawings are used by developers, builders, and contractors across BC and Alberta, and we work alongside any build team. Every line is drawn to be built, not just presented.
Full-Service Interiors
We craft interiors that balance beauty and purpose. We work with homeowners, developers, and builders at any stage of a project, from early material selections alongside architectural plans to finished-space styling. Timeless aesthetics and practical details that hold up over time.
Finishing & Styling
The final layer that brings a space to life. Interior styling covers the finishing details, including artwork, soft furnishings, and the careful placement of elements that make a house feel like a home or a commercial space feel considered and complete.
Available when you need it
For clients who want a single point of contact from drawings to completion, we offer construction management and project oversight. We coordinate trades, maintain schedules, and make sure what was designed is what gets built.
We resolve every finish, fitting, and specification on paper before anything is ordered or installed. The design phase is where decisions get made thoughtfully, not reactively.
Every finish, fitting, and detail is specified on paper before construction starts. No decisions made on the fly, no expensive surprises.
We set a timeline and hold it. Our trade coordination process is built around the schedule, and delays are addressed early, not explained after.
Site planning, architectural drafting, custom homes, renovations, multi-family, commercial, and interior design. Design and drafting are handled by one team, under one roof. For clients who would rather have a single firm carry the project through construction, we also offer construction management.
We handle both. It is worth asking any firm this directly, because the answer tells you a lot about how your project will run. When design and drafting are split between two firms, the drafter does not know why each decision was made, so practical changes get resolved structurally rather than in service of the design. Revision cycles multiply.
With one team, design intent carries through to the construction documents, and you have one point of contact throughout. More on design versus drafting.
Typically between 18 months and 3 years, from the first design conversation to moving in. Design and drawings account for roughly three to six months, permit review for one to four months depending on the municipality, and construction for the balance.
The design phase is where most timeline surprises happen. See the full phase-by-phase breakdown.
Four steps. First, an initial inquiry: tell us about the project, the site, and the timeline, and we confirm fit and send a proposal within two business days. Second, concept and schematic design, developing layout and massing against your brief, the site, and local zoning. Third, design development, where details, specifications, and coordination across every sheet get resolved. Fourth, the permit-ready set, submitted to your municipality, with us handling any revisions the authority requires.
Homeowners building or renovating, builders and developers managing multiple sites or a subdivision, and contractors whose client has a design but no drawings. We integrate with existing build teams and work to their schedules.
Our studio is in Chilliwack, British Columbia, and we work across BC and Alberta. You can reach us at 778.808.6397 or info@rexfordco.ca.
